Class times

Students should be ready for the start of the school day by 8:20am each morning. Class lessons commence promptly at 8:30am.

School bags, hats and any extra clothing are to be stored in the racks provided outside each classroom. Bicycles must be parked in the designated bicycle compound and secured with an individual lock. The bicycle compound will be locked each day at 8:30am and reopened at 2:30pm.

To ensure student safety, children are not to arrive at school before 8:00am, as staff supervision is not available prior to this time. The school accepts no responsibility for students arriving before 8:00am.

Before school each morning, students and parents are asked to wait in their designated undercover waiting area until the 8:20am bell.

School gates will close at 8:30am. Parents and caregivers are not permitted on campus after this time unless attending the office for approved business.

Students arriving after 8:35am will be required to sign in at the student window and obtain a late slip before proceeding to class.

When students are outside the classroom, it can be difficult to locate individual students quickly and safely. To avoid disappointment, Pumicestone State School kindly reminds families to avoid collecting students during break times.

School gates will reopen at 2:25pm each afternoon, allowing parents and caregivers to access the campus and proceed to classrooms for student collection.
