At Pumicestone State School, it is our belief that the curriculum learning outcomes are a result of the learning experiences students receive both inside and outside their classroom. 

At Pumicestone State School we have high expectations and an unrelenting pursuit of excellence for all students through collaboration, precision and coherence. The design and delivery of the Australian Curriculum is guided by our school's Curriculum Framework. Our curriculum framework has been created to ensure high quality, evidence based teaching practices focused on success for every student.

Staff plan, teach, assess and report on the Australian Curriculum in English, Mathematics, Science, Geography and History across the Prep to Year 6 year levels. Curriculum at Pumicestone State School is planned and delivered to ensure that all students have opportunities to engage in meaningful learning, and meets the learning needs of a diverse range of students.

These include:

  •  Information Communication Technologies (ICT’s) and Technologies in the classroom
  •  Individual Support Programs/Individual Curriculum Plans
  •  Integrated Units
  • ​ Information Literacy for Lifelong Learning
  •  Classroom Music Program
  •  Instrumental Music Program
  •  Smart Moves / PE
  •  Swimming Program
  •  Languages Other Than English (LOTE) - Chinese

The curriculum at Pumicestone State School is also supported and extended through the wide integration of ICTs to assist the teaching and learning process.​
